Bearcat Contracting is your local irrigation contractor in Northern Minnesota. We provide commercial and residential lawn sprinkler systems, new installation or maintenance services.

Bearcat Contracting began in June 2021 in the west metro area of Minneapolis. Founder, Levi Halonen, left the corporate world and ventured out to create his own business. In the Fall of 2024, Bearcat moved to Osage, Minnesota.

Levi has many years of experience in designing and installing irrigation systems. He started in the irrigation business in the early 2000s when he worked for his brother's company. He installed and serviced irrigation systems in Michigan's UP during the summers. This work helped pay for his gas as a teenager and supported him in college.

At Bearcat Contracting, we bring quality and accuracy, attention to detail, and thoroughness to all our projects. Levi has a mechanical engineering degree from Michigan Tech University. He also has 13 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. This helps us provide high-quality systems and service to our customers.

One of the goals of leaving the corporate world was to bring more balance to our family life. And work hard at something that aligns with our values or things we are passionate about. We quickly found that Levi has an entrepreneurial spirit. In 2024, Levi started another business called Bear North Sauna.

We moved to the country in Osage, MN, thanks to Bearcat Contracting and Bear North Sauna. Now, we are closer to family and enjoy a quieter pace of life. We are enjoying the change and are in the process of building a hobby farm.
